VoIP

Your Phone System is critical to the business operations of your organization. Without a healthy system, your ability to communicate between customers and employees is severely degraded. In recent years, analog systems have begun to be phased out in favor of newer digital Voice over IP (VoIP) systems. Support of analog has lessened, causing its maintenance and operation costs to increase, and unfavorably compare to installation and operation costs of a new digital system. VoIP can deliver unmatched call quality alongside an enterprise level feature-set at an SMB price-point.

Skywave Engineers have experience across a wide range of platforms, both on-premise and cloud-based, but most importantly a sound understanding of the fundamentals behind VoIP which allows us to support the technology, not just the platform.

On-Premise

An 'On-Premise' Phone System is located within the walls of your organization. It can either be managed by a properly trained internal resource, or contracted out to an IT Consulting firm with VoIP experience.

The reasons for choosing an on-premise voice solution over cloud based-can vary, but generally, it boils down to the size of the organization. Quite commonly, once an organization begins to exceed 25-30 users, the per-user costs of Cloud-Based can begin to outweigh its benefits.

Cloud-Based

As indicated by the name, a "Cloud-Based" Phone System is one hosted offsite and managed by a third-party company. In smaller organizations, the cloud-based approach often makes sense because of its simplicity and ease of management.

A reputable Cloud-Based service is often an affordable way for the Small Business to obtain advanced communication features without the need for investement in robust IT Infrastructure and commiting to digital service contracts with the telephone company.
